Hosts Nick Capra and Nica Jensen (nee Noelle) have the kind of friendship where no topic is too cringe, too personal, too politically incorrect, or too controversial to be off limits. In fact, the title for this podcast is a phrase Nick uses whenever he has a hot piece of gossip but wants to stress that it can NEVER, under any circumstances, EVER be repeated:
"This is VAULT!"
So, when they decided to start a podcast and needed a name, that phrase seemed like the obvious choice. Because when you hear the words "This is Vault" you KNOW it's going to be JUICY.
Nick and Nica have been friends for more than a decade, from the day they first began working together in adult film. Nica was the creator, writer, and director of a new gay studio that took the genre by storm, and Nick had just returned to the industry for the second act of his successful career as a gay film icon. Together, they ushered in the "Daddy" era, where older men were celebrated and very much in demand (move over, twinks.) With Nica behind the camera and Nick out in front, they introduced audiences to a concept rarely depicted in adult films: emotion. In the process, they began a whirlwind friendship filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, and times when they didn't talk to each other at all. But somehow, they always ended up finding each other again and could always pick up right where they left off.
Nica left adult film in 2019 after moving to New England to embark on a new life as a "normie." Nick retired a few years later, but not before a successful stint directing for Michael Lucas studios. Today, both are still acclimating to their new lives and identities away from the madness of porn valley, and they still have a lot to process. They often text and Facetime each other until the wee hours of the morning, analyzing everything under the sun. They don't always see eye-to-eye on the adult industry, politics, or (especially) Madonna, but they always enjoy trying to argue each other down.
And of course, they still gossip.
A lot.
I friggin love the whole concept, and the realism of their new adventure. "SUCCESS, IS VISITED ONCE MORE" Congratulations to both of you..
